I do feel like Socrates was being deceptive. I think he has to be “egging” him on to get different thoughts out. It s the only way to get Eurthyphro to answer the way Socrates wants him to answer. I also feel that if Socrates just came out and said his definition of pious and impious, no one would really take in what he is saying.
